Pedro Leitão.

Graduated in Economics, MBA and Master in Business Administration and Management from ISEG - Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão. In order to develop his studies in the financial industry, he also completed several executive trainings at the most prestigious international universities, including London Business School, Stanford University Graduate School of Education and INSEAD.

With more than 27 years of experience in the sector, he began his career in 1995 at Banco BPI where he joined the Corporate Banking. In 1997, he joined BBVA where he held various positions until being appointed Deputy Commercial Director for the Lisbon area, and in 2001, he joined Deloitte where he worked for 11 years in Consulting in the Financial Services area.

From 2002 to 2011, he was a professor at various institutions, including ISEG, IDEFE, and Porto Business School.

In 2011, he joined Banco Millennium Atlântico as a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director, and in 2016, as a Member of the Executive Committee, Chief Digital Officer of Banco Atlântico Europa.

Currently, Pedro Leitão holds the position of CEO of Banco Montepio (since January 9, 2020, having been reappointed on July 25, 2022, for the triennium 2022-2025), a position he combines with that of Member of the General Council of AEM - Associação de Empresas Emitentes de Valores Cotados em Mercado e de Membro do Conselho Fiscal da Oeiras International School.
