With a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa, he dedicated his career to the Financial sector from an early stage. In all the companies he joined, he primarily focused his activity on various functional areas always centered on or related to technological aspects or needs.

He was the Central Director of Information Systems at Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD), Member and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Sogrupo – Sistemas de Informação, ACE (Grupo CGD), Member of the Board of Directors of XSOURCE, ACE (CGD Group), Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Caixanet – Telemática e Comunicações, S.A. (CGD Group) and Partner at Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.
